The purpose of these teachings is to learn the difference between sense knowledge and revelation knowledge. Sense knowledge involves the five senses: touching, smelling, hearing, seeing and feeling. Sense knowledge is always feeding information to us and we base our decisions or thoughts on these senses. Revelation knowledge is knowing or being revealed to us, the plan or purpose that God has for us. The book of Hebrews was written by Paul to a group of people, who were uncertain of what they believed and how to deal with the giants in their lives. Paul was encouraging them to hold on. He contrasts them with the people who came out of Egypt and what happened to them in the wilderness. They were great starters but were bad finishers. Doubt and unbelief begins to come in, when we don't see things happening as fast as we think they should or not at all and we begin to turn loose of the promises that God has given us. The children of Israel did not finish their course, they died in the wilderness. Heb 3:18-19 "18And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? 19 "So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief." KJV The children of Israel encountered giants on their way to the promised land and were intimidated by them. We are intimidated by the giants that arise in our lives, causing us to have doubts and allow unbelief to enter into our lives. Heb 4:1-2 "1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it." KJV. What God has promised will not benefit us, if we fail to mix confidence, trust or faith with it. Ex: Caleb and Joshua wanted to enter into the promised land in Number 13 and 14, but because of the unbelief of the children of Israel, were unable to do so. Sense knowledge led the children of Israel, therefore, not allowing them to enter into the promised land. Caleb and Joshua had revelation knowledge, because they knew what God had promised He would bring it about. The circumstances and oppositon that arise in our lives will have to bow, if we have faith and confidence in what God has told us. Heb 3:14 "For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;" KJV Faith is the ingredient mixed with what God has promised us, that will cause us to inherit His promises.

A review of previous teachings regarding the parables of the sower found in Mark 4, Luke 8 and Matthew 13. It will be challenging to understand the Word of God unless we understand the parables. Everything starts out as a seed. As we begin to care (water and watch over it) the seed, (the Word of God), it begins to grow up and become greater than anything in our lives. Mountains or problems will come, but God gives us faith or power to overcome and remove them out of our lives. Mark 11:22-25 "22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith 24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them 25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." KJV. This a classic New Testament lesson as to how the God kind of faith works. If we learn to do the following our walk will be made easier. There are three principles to follow, they are: be quick to repent, quick to forgive and quick to walk in love. The things that will hinder are: wrong believing, wrong thinking, and wrong talking. Jesus has won the victory for us, but we must be careful not to fall into the enemies trap with hinderances.
