Spending Time With God

Luke 2:46-51 "

 

46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers  48And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? 50And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them 51And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart." KJV

Jesus' priority was to his Father, knowing that there was a call on his life, but his attitude was submissive and obedience to his parents.

Luke 2:52 "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." KJV

What takes place as a result of spending time with God? There is an exchange that takes place . The busyness of our lives must not take the place of our time with God. Our priority must be to Him. He must be #1.

Isa 40:28-31 "28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. 31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." KJV

Renew or change - exchange of natural ability over into super natural ability which knows no limits. This exchange comes as a result of waiting on the Lord or spending time with Him.
