God’s Plan and Purpose for Prosperity

When God asks us to plant a seed, the seed goes beyond the tithe, and when God asks us to plant a seed into the kingdom of God, He always has our future in mind in relationship to our needs being met. Any time the children of Israel really forgot who God was they would quit giving, then when they would turn back to God and remember who He really is they would again start giving. For example they got excited about building the temple after they got out of captivity. They laid the foundation and then forgot about it for 16 years because they began to withhold in relation to what God had instructed them to build and do. Over a period of time things went ill for them. Then the prophets Haggai, Zechariah, and Habakkuk came along and encouraged them to once again give and then the favor and blessings would come again. For us to begin to flow in the blessings of God in relation to finances there are some principles we should know. God doesn’t just bless us in dollars and cents, he is bigger than that. He could bless you with wisdom to run your business. He could bless you with promotion in your profession, or divinely inspired ideas that are to be acted upon to bring finances into your hands. Proverbs 10:4 (King James Version) 4He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. We must become convinced that God is our source. It is His will for us. Philippians 4:19 (King James Version) 19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Through Jesus all of our needs are met. We must keep our priorities right. We can give just to get and that is wrong. It’s a wrong attitude, motive and priority. Our giving must emanate out of a heart of love and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 6:33 (King James Version) 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. We must know that once a seed is planted there is always going to be a harvest. Somewhere in our mind and in processing the plan and purpose of God we must understand that when we plant a seed into the kingdom of God that He always has our future in mind. Luke 6:38 (King James Version) 38Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Pro 3: 8-10 "It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. 9Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine." KJV Mal 3:7-10 "Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? 8Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings 9Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation 10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." KJV Gen 15:1 "After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward." KJV We have choices to make, there are anointings for teaching the Word of God, but no anointings for being a "doer of the Word of God". Our wills must be involved, we must purpose to do that. It comes with a period of time or season for working out the Word in our lives. We must come to grips that God is our source of our supply; it is so easy to look to our jobs as the source. He provides us with jobs, promotions and increases, but it is God that is the source and that it is He who supplies our needs. Phil 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." KJV There are principles which are blessing pacts or covenants. We must understand that there is a seed time and harvest.

The Reality of the Name of Jesus!

Most of us are familiar with what happened physically to Jesus on the cross, but there was also so much more significance on the spiritual side pertaining to His death. Isaiah 52:14 (Contemporary English Version) 14 Many were horrified at what happened to him. But everyone who saw him was even more horrified because he suffered until he no longer looked human. Isaiah 52:14 (King James Version) 14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:Isaiah 52:14 (King James Version) 14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: Isaiah 52:14 (New Century Version) 14 Many people were shocked when they saw him. His appearance was so damaged he did not look like a man; his form was so changed they could barely tell he was human. Most of us do not understand or know how vicious the attack was upon Jesus. It was not only physical and It began all the way back in the Garden of Eden trying to mar and defy the lineage from which Jesus would come. But also in Genesis 3:15 it states: Genesis 3:15 (King James Version) 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.Throughout the Old Testament there were times the lineage that Jesus was to come through was almost annihilated, but there was always a remnant and Jesus did come to earth without sin. Isaiah 53 is known as the great prophetic chapter of the entire bible speaking prophetically of the coming of Jesus, his mission, and what his death, burial and resurrection, his ascension and seating at the right hand of the Father would actually do and mean for mankind. Religion on the outside has a form of godliness but still denies the power of God. Religion is so steeped in works but Jesus in his woes against the scribes and Pharisees said outwardly in Matthew chapter 13 verse 27 27Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

Casting Your Cares #2

God's plan for us and our responsibility in it. 2 Tim 3:1 "BUT UNDERSTAND this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]." AMP The closer we get to the coming of Jesus, the more pressure we are going to sense in our lives, it will be intended to pull us away from a closer relationship with the Lord Jesus. Perilous times means treacherous, harmful or dangerous. To reduce the strength there of. Daniel prophesied "the devil comes to wear out the saints" and in the last days we will run to and fro and that knowledge would increase and abound more and more. We are living in the times that was spoken of prophetically. The following scriptures are Jesus teaching us how to deal with cares of this world, worries and being anxious and frustrations that arise in our lives. Matt 6:25 " Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? " KJV Perpetually means regularly, continually, doesn't means that it comes and goes but that It is a lifestyle which needs to be changed. Worry and being anxious moves us out of the area of faith, gets us into the natural. We get weaker and weaker, worry is a dead end street. We take the worry or thought when we begin to speak it. Take no thought by saying. Matt 6:25-34 "25Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing? 26Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they 27And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life? 28And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin 29Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these.30But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith? 31Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear? 32For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all 33But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides 34So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble." AMP

Mark 4:26-28 "26And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how 28For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear." KJV An example of the seed, the soil, the seed planted, the sprout and the full head of wheat and the harvest. Jesus taught in parables in order that we could understand what He was telling His disciples and that we could understand the mysteries of the kingdom of God. He did not make it hard to understand Mark 4:11 "And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables." KJV Mark 4:13,14 "13And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? 14The sower soweth the word." KJV The seed will not grow until it is planted and there will be no harvest without the planting. Gen 8:22 "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." KJV God begins to prove his people by obedience and attitude. As we begin our walk, we sometimes fail and are not obedient, but because of the grace, the mercy and the blood of Jesus we are able to complete our walk. God is looking at the attitude of our heart and gives us time to grow in wanting to please Him. God is looking at our hearts and what we really want to do. Deut 8: 12-14,18 "12Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; 13And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied 14Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day." KJV God's plan for us is that multiplication takes place in our lives. He wants us to prosper. He gives us the ability to get wealth with ideas and good jobs, if our attitudes are right and if we are not "puffed up" thinking that we have done it.
