Faith and Healing #4

A review of previous teachings regarding the parables of the sower found in Mark 4, Luke 8 and Matthew 13. It will be challenging to understand the Word of God unless we understand the parables. Everything starts out as a seed. As we begin to care (water and watch over it) the seed, (the Word of God), it begins to grow up and become greater than anything in our lives. Mountains or problems will come, but God gives us faith or power to overcome and remove them out of our lives. Mark 11:22-25 "22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith 24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them 25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." KJV. This a classic New Testament lesson as to how the God kind of faith works. If we learn to do the following our walk will be made easier. There are three principles to follow, they are: be quick to repent, quick to forgive and quick to walk in love. The things that will hinder are: wrong believing, wrong thinking, and wrong talking. Jesus has won the victory for us, but we must be careful not to fall into the enemies trap with hinderances.

Faith and Healing PT 3

Until you and I become convinced of the integrity of the Word of God we are continually going to be questioning the will of God, what the plan of God is and even questioning whether the word of God will work for us. When you do become convinced of the integrity of the Word of God, and that God is not a man that He should lie, For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. As we begin to speak the word of God and water those arid, barren, and challenging areas in our life it begins to change degree by degree, little by little and that that once was barren begins to become a productive area in our individual life as we speak the Word of God over it. When faith is taught it can be taken from a legalistic viewpoint or you can look at it under grace. You can be doing everything just right and still not be in faith but under works. In the area of strongholds the bible teaches us in the following scripture that: 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (King James Version) 3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

How To Make Your Vision Correspond With God
Wednesday Jan 19, 2011
Wednesday Jan 19, 2011
Pro 29:18 "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." KJV No vision means to pass to an inferior condition. The vision must be kept alive, it must be nurtured and it must be watered for it to come to pass. How do we cooperate with the Lord, what can we do to help the vision to come to pass where it becomes a reality in our lives? Principle ingredients for the vision: It comes from God, how is it be done, the method and the timing for which the vision will come to pass. The timing must be allowed to come to full maturity, otherwise failure may be the result. There is a time of preparation. Pro 19:2 "Desire without knowledge is not good, and to be overhasty is to sin and miss the mark." AMP Pro 19:2 "Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth" KJV Psa 62:5 "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him." KJV Something on the inside of us recognizes the vision that God has given to us in all areas of our lives and we will be constantly drawn to that calling. Pro 24:14 "So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off" KJV Psa 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart" KJV Delight means to be pliable or expandable. Delight must come first, our desires, dreams and visions do not come first. The delight in the Lord must be first. lst principle in being in cooperation with God is to delight ourselves in the Lord. We must not allow our dream or vision to be first or to be eroded with time. He will then give us the desires of our heart. Our desires will come in alignment with the plan and purpose of God. God's plan, dream or expectation is always bigger than we imagin. We must be expandable and submissive to His plan or purpose for us. Sometimes this can be very challenging, but we must come in line, being submissive with His plan. It is a time of growth, not limiting ourselves. Phil 3:10 "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;" KJV The cry of our heart must be to know him. We will not be content until we do. Psa 77:12 "I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings" KJV Delight ourselves in the Lord, we will be meditating, talking of His greatness, not complaining of life around us. 2nd principle in being in cooperation with the Lord, regarding the vision that He has given us, is to surround ourselves with that vision. What happens if you don't? You will loose it. Surrounding ourselves must be with people who are of like faith, believing as you do that the vision can and will be accomplished. You cannot have people who are constantly telling you that you will fail and that the vision cannot work. When God calls you to do something, it will be something that is against your natural ability, so you must hang around wise people, those who will encourage and not tear you down. Pro 13:20 "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed" KJV Pro 14:7 "Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge." KJV Challenges are there regardless of what is trying to be accomplished. The people we hang around with will either lift us up or bring us down. We must keep our focus on God. All things are subject to change. 2 Cor 4:17-18 "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal" KJV Pro 24:14 "So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off" KJV Hab 2:1-4 "I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. 2And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it 3For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry 4Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith." KJV Jonah 2:8 "They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy." KJV Jonah faced his obstacles, repented and did what the Lord had told him. Read the book of Nehemiah to see how he approached the vision that he had regarding Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the wall. He was not a preacher, he was just an ordinary man, the worker. He had been taken captive to Babylon, he was the kings cupbearer. He inquired about the city of Jerusalem and found out that the walls were in disrepair. Nehemiah began to have the vision of going back and repairing the city, but many obstacles stood in his way. He had to get the kings permission to go, he had no money. He began to pray, he knew that he had the plan of God, so he prayed for favor. He ask the king for permission to go back, the king gave permission, the king gave him money, he granted him safety to pass through other countries and gave him a title so that he would be the governor of Jerusalem. Nehemiah wanted to rebuild the city and the walls to reflect the glory of God. He had workers to rebuild, but had much oppostion to what he planned to do. There were outside people who tried to destroy the work that was being done. Nehemiah did not focus on the criticism, but prayed and focused on the glory of God, he did not allow the vision to be eroded. People tried to put fear on him, but he refused to be drawn into their negative attitudes. Fear will put you in a box, it puts limitations on you, puts you in the negative. Faith is the opposite of fear, faith will work for you. Those things you are believing for will come to pass. An example was Job, those things he feared came upon him. Nehemiah was threatened and he had to arm his workers, the workers took turns working and guarding those who were working. He refused to reason with his critics. It took 52 days to rebuild the wall. Nehe 2:20 "Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem" KJV 1)We delight ourselves in the Lord, 2) we surround ourselves with the vision, 3rd principle is a lot of hard work. We cannot just set back and think that the vision will come to pass. The dream or vision will not be cut off. Ecc 5:3 "For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words." KJV Pro 23:18 "For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off" KJV. Pro 24:14 "So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off" KJV The reward is you experiencing your dream, living it out, setting back and saying God you did it, thank you. Allow the dream, the vision on the inside of you to be rekindled. Let the Holy Spirit blow on your dream, dare to dream again. The tragedy of life is not when a man or woman dies, but what dies in a man or woman while they are alive. That is the real tragedy

Timing in Your Vision
Tuesday Jan 18, 2011
Tuesday Jan 18, 2011
3 Ingredients of a vision are:
- The vision itself - What is to be done?
- Method
- Timing
This Sunday’s emphasis will be on timing.
Foundation scriptures:
Psalm 62:5 (Amplified Bible)
5My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from
Him.
Habakkuk 2:2-4 (Amplified Bible)
2And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that
everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.
3For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not
deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will
not be behindhand on its appointed day.
4Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the [rigidly] just and the
[uncompromisingly] righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness.
The dream, desire or vision that you have on the inside of you is coming from God. God has
placed it there. It is something that you pursue and follow after. We also begin with the end in
mind and finishing our course or accomplishing what God has called you to do.

The Three Elements of a Vision
Tuesday Jan 18, 2011
Tuesday Jan 18, 2011
The Three Elements involved in a vision: • The vision • Timing • The method In relation to vision there is the thought that you will just believe God and it’s going to happen which isn’t necessarily true. Then there is the other side that says I am going to do everything and not seek God so much and that isn’t true either. They need to both be in action working together. Proverbs 29:18 (King James Version) 18Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Perish means to live in an inferior condition. No motivation no desire or purpose. One definition of vision is the ability to see what ought to be or needs to happen. It is also the solution to a challenge or problem. You have the ability to see what needs to be done to correct something that is less than it ought to be. In Habakkuk chapter one the children of Israel were in a very inferior condition, things were not going well for them. Habakkuk took the time to go before the Lord and find out what needed to happen to correct the problem and the Lord gave him a vision. The vision is always a solution to a challenge or problem that exists. Vision will always pull you in a certain direction. If you have an individual vision it is like reading the roadmap. It will keep you on course. The same is true for a corporate vision. Vision keeps you on target. The only constant in maturing and following the Lord is the ability to change. Growth always involves change. If you aren’t changing most likely you aren’t growing or maturing spiritually.

Spending Time With God
Wednesday Dec 29, 2010
Wednesday Dec 29, 2010
Luke 2:46-51 " 46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers 48And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? 50And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them 51And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart." KJV
Jesus' priority was to his Father, knowing that there was a call on his life, but his attitude was submissive and obedience to his parents. Luke 2:52 "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." KJV What takes place as a result of spending time with God? There is an exchange that takes place . The busyness of our lives must not take the place of our time with God. Our priority must be to Him. He must be #1. Isa 40:28-31 "28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. 31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." KJV Renew or change - exchange of natural ability over into super natural ability which knows no limits. This exchange comes as a result of waiting on the Lord or spending time with Him.

Cast Your Cares
Wednesday Dec 29, 2010
Wednesday Dec 29, 2010
Cast Your Care Pastor Charles Mendenhall Great and mighty are you oh Lord. May everyone that has come this day sense the presence and goodness of God in their lives, and may they know Jesus as the Jesus that longs to give good gifts to His people today. Pastor read part of the Christmas story. The Magi had been following the star for some time. The star had become stationary. They had found Jesus. The first thing they did was to fall down and worship. What a privilege we have to know Jesus and accept him as our personal savior and to worship Him just as the wisemen did. That gives us a clue that they who are wise worship the Lord. The wisemen gave monetary gifts and today we can do that in our local church. Jesus is the ultimate gift!
