Dealing With a Root of Bitterness

Bitterness is a very hard thing to overcome. Many times we hold on to bitterness think

that it is a way to get revenge on whomever did us wrong, but the truth is that as

we live in a bitter lifestyle, the other person is living just fine regardless. We need

to forgive and release that other person not only for their needs, but mostly for

ourselves.

Sow It and God Will Grow It pt. 2

Philippians 4:15-19 "15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. 16For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. 17Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. 18But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God. 19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Giving starts a cycle that receiving completes. God will only give out of His riches according to our giving. He will provide all of your needs because of your planting/sowing into His kingdom.

2 Corinthians 8:7 “Therefore, as ye abound in everything, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.”

You need to understand the seed time and harvest.  There is always a progression.

God wants you to abound, to over flow in the ministry.  To ‘give,’ means to hand out abundantly.

God’s supply is bountiful, but it depends on what we give.

God understands difficult times.  That is why Jesus made a point of the old widow who gave only a small bit.  He said that she gave more than everyone else.  As long as you give your seed out of an abundant heart, your seed will not go overlooked.

"1Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 2How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. 3For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; 4Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 5And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. 6Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. 7Therefore, as ye abound in everything, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. 8I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. 9For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."
